What are Septum Rings?

Known as a more alternative design, septum rings are an up-and-coming type of nose piercing. These go in the middle portion of your nose, known as your septum (or the cartilage between your nostrils.) Interestingly enough, septum rings shouldn't actually go through the septum cartilage but through a softer tissue right below it.

Quality matters

In order to avoid skin irritations in this delicate area, it is recommended that a septum ring is of high-quality metal, like a solid 14k or 18k gold or titanium. It is also recommended that your needle size is either 14G or 16G. (Iz&Co Note: All of our piercings are also hypoallergenic for people that have extra sensitive skin)

At Iz&Co. we provide specific designs of septum rings to meet both high-quality requirements for proper care and a fashionable approach to the piercing style.

As much as we love our septum styles, we must be responsible and recommend that you let your septum piercing heal for 6-8 weeks before you decide to change it to a more elaborate design. If you are looking to get a septum piercing, make sure you request a circular barbell or CBR (which is usually the standard type for a septum piercing.)
