How much should you spend on an Engagement Ring?

We have all heard of that old “quote unquote rule” that you or your partner should spend 2-3 months salary on an engagement ring.

I personally think this puts way too much added pressure not only on the person buying the ring but the relationship as well because of the expectations set by this so called rule. Here are a few things to consider when deciding how much to spend on an engagement ring:

1) Set a budget based on your financial situation

2) Focus on quality & craftsmanship, not only on pricing

3) Keep in mind any potential future expenses like the wedding or buying a home

4) Avoid getting into debt (or too much debt) for the ring, starting a life together with a solid financial foundation is always ideal

5) Consider alternative options like Lab-grown diamonds or other color gemstones that are equally amazing!

6) And lastly, remember that the sentiment and love behind the proposal matters a lot more than the price of the ring!!!! You will always have future anniversaries and special occasions to be able to upgrade or even purchase a new ring for your partner.

Remember that we work with all types of budget so don’t be shy to and reach out to us with your questions and inquiries ❤️
