Introducing the Cabochon Moonstone
Many of our custom orders have come in requesting Cabochon Moonstone. It's a beautiful gem that we want to share more about it!
Cabochon moonstone is a type of gemstone that is cut and polished into a rounded, convex shape known as a cabochon. Moonstone is a type of feldspar mineral prized for its iridescent and luminous appearance, known as a "schiller." The schiller effect is caused by the intergrowth of two different types of feldspar within the stone, which reflects light in a distinctive way and gives the stone its unique appearance.
Due to their unique and distinctive appearance, Cabochon moonstones are often used in jewelry, particularly in pendants and earrings. They are available in various colors, including white, peach, blue, and yellow, and are prized for their beauty and rarity. Moonstones are also considered talismanic stones and are believed to bring good luck and success to the wearer.
